When a Jinjiang enterprise encounters a national-level scientific research institute...

Yesterday, at Jinjiang's first high-tech industrialization project matchmaking meeting, the Xiamen Institute of Equipment Manufacturing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "Quanzhou Equipment Institute") brought more than 20 technological achievements and projects to connect with enterprises on-site, and signed agreements with Xunxing Zipper, Hainan Machinery, Weisheng Machinery, and Painier Technology to further develop in-depth cooperation.
"The projects we signed with Quanzhou Equipment Institute will soon yield results!" Li Penghui, assistant director of the technical R&D center of Fujian Xunxing Zipper Technology Co., Ltd., said happily. This time, Xunxing and Quanzhou Equipment Institute's innovative design and simulation technology team signed the "Analysis and Optimization Design of Zipper Flat Pull Strength and Smoothness of Pulling and Fastening" innovative technology and simulation solution. "Traditional methods are not only time-consuming and costly, but also have a low success rate; this solution uses digital and intelligent methods to greatly reduce trial-and-error costs. Our cooperation has entered its third phase."
Fujian Maiya CNC Technology Co., Ltd. is a technology-based enterprise specializing in metal foreign object detection, providing technical support for food and paper product companies including Heng An and Dali Garden. At this matchmaking meeting, Xu Wenjun, chairman of the company, had a fruitful harvest: "Two projects on-site are very suitable for us, and we have agreed to have the research team go to the factory for on-site investigation and contact."
Hainan Machinery and Quanzhou Equipment Institute's intelligent measurement and control technology and system team signed the cooperation project of "Development of an Online Detection System for the Uniform Distribution of High-Polymer Absorbent Materials in Diapers." This project will solve the industry's current problem of uniform distribution of core materials in diaper production. Zhang Zhixiong, vice chairman of Jinjiang Hainan Machinery Co., Ltd., introduced that the project will further cooperate with Quanzhou Equipment Institute in the back-end to solve the problem of uniform spreading of high-polymer cotton core materials, thereby improving the product. Currently, the project has undergone practical trial application, and the subsequent implementation plan has been arranged.
In fact, making good use of the introduced national-level scientific research institutes to promote the intelligent manufacturing and transformation and upgrading of local enterprises is an important goal of the government's platform building.
"Our company's scientific research strength and reserves cannot be as complete and perfect as the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through the high-end research institutes built by the government, it not only saves the time and money costs of enterprises in independently establishing R&D teams and gathering R&D forces, but also provides R&D capabilities and perspectives that enterprises do not possess in terms of technology." Zhang Zhixiong believes.
This view is also agreed upon by Li Penghui: "For example, the design and production of zippers involve various technologies such as materials, mechanics, and engineering, involving difficult technologies and multiple professional fields, which cannot be completed by our company alone. Quanzhou Equipment Institute has many technical teams that can help us conduct targeted R&D, and the government also provides financial support to enterprises."
It is understood that Quanzhou Equipment Institute currently cooperates with more than 100 enterprises, has 10 established laboratories, more than 100 researchers, and implements about 70 technological innovation projects. "Currently, the institute has established cooperative relationships with nearly 20 Jinjiang enterprises, including Jingong Machinery, Weisheng Machinery, Xunxing Zipper, Qifeng Food, Painier Technology, and Fulian Dyeing, focusing on engineering machinery, ceramic building materials, food machinery, textile footwear, etc., launching a series of industrial technologies." Wang Fengxiang, vice director of the institute, introduced that the subsequent cooperation between the institute and local enterprises will be deeper and broader, playing the role of a "think tank" in Jinjiang's industrial transformation and upgrading.
"To continue to firmly grasp the real economy and promote industrial transformation and upgrading, we need to focus on two aspects: one is the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and the other is the attraction and aggregation of high-tech industries. The key to both aspects lies in the ability to gather technology, talent, and capital to serve the industry. To this end, the Jinjiang municipal government has built a docking platform." Guo Langtao, director of the Jinjiang Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, said, "Today's high-tech industrialization project matchmaking meeting is the first phase. In the future, the existing multiple platforms will conduct regular docking."
